100 1324Some war veterans call it Dubya Dubya 2 and it is famous for many other things than being a war. It gave us the Lancaster bomber, the Spitfire, jet propulsion, stories for films for decades to come and, of course, the Jeep. Famed for being basic and therefore almost unbreakable, its reputation as an offroad capable vehicle is legendary.

Review - Toyota Landcruiser GX

20140302 180312In Australia, Toyota is seen as a “cardigan car” brand, with capable if unexciting vehicles such as the Aurion and Camry. The Corolla is consistently a high seller but, behind the scenes, is Toyota’s legendary Landcruiser. 

First released to an unsuspecting world in 1951, it’s grown and evolved and diverged into different models. I’ve got my hands on the 200 series GX and I’n going to take a look at where this classic nameplate is today.

Review - Hyundai Veloster SR Turbo

velturbo14I was generally excited to pick the keys up to the Veloster Turbo not just because it was the first Hyundai I was going to review but with 150kW of power under the bonnet the Veloster Turbo was promising to be a fun drive.

Lots has been said about the look of the Veloster since it was released its 3 door design is certainly thinking outside the square, although Hyundai has done a great job of separating the Turbo from the normal Veloster with it receiving a different wide mouth grille, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear spoiler and trick exhaust that exits in the middle of the rear end.
